I have always been lucky enough to live by the sea. It's influence, transient nature and energy are fuel for my work. I am often out walking the coastline gathering inspiration. I take elements of what I experience to combine drawing and painting along with a juxtaposition of dynamic shapes and colours to create semi abstract representations of the local coastline and landmarks. My keen eye for detail allows me to focus and draw attention to aspects the eye usually blends to create an overall aesthetic. I mainly work in acrylics, integrating pen and pencil for areas of detail and highlights. 
I graduated from Falmouth College of Arts in 2006 with BA Hons in Fine Art. I am now based in Swanage but having spent several years in the Isles of Scilly and Cornwall I have an affinity with the views and vistas of the West Country which often appear in my work.
